Komposisjonen ble skrevet i anledning 500 års-jubileum av den lutherske reformasjonen som ble feiret i 2017.

Teksten er original Martin Luther. Det er korte setninger som er tatt fra forskjellige taler og skrifter. I sentrum står to vers fra salmen "Av dypest nød jeg rope må" (Aus tiefer Not ich schrei zu dir).

This composition was written to celebrate the 500 years anniversary of Lutheran reformation. It uses short text passages from different speeches and scripts written by Martin Luther. As a central idea placed in the middle part you will find the hymn "Aus tiefer Not ich schrei zu dir" (From deep affliction I cry out to you).
